Job summary

University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a Physician Assistant for the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive & Cosmetic Surgery in Chicago, IL. The PA will provide pre-, intra-, and post-surgical care under the supervision of the Plastic Surgeon and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited PA program, IL PA license, NCCPA certification, BLS, and active controlled substance licensure.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited PA program.
Current Illinois Physician Assistant license.
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Current controlled substance licensure.
Current NCCPA certification.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with providers to deliver patient care.
Perform history and physical exams and develop care plans.
Prescribe medications, diets, supplies, prosthetic devices, and other home health aids or medications.
Provide patient education and document care accurately.
Lead multidisciplinary teams for integrated patient care.
Assist in suturing and surgical procedures.
Participate in clinical projects and registry data gathering.
