Job Description: The Division of Plastic Surgery in the Department of Surgery at Cooper University Hospital is recruiting for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Surgery or above. Qualified candidates should possess or be eligible for certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. The ideal candidate will have completed fellowship training in microsurgery, have prior clinical practice experience in breast reconstruction, and demonstrate a strong interest in reconstructive microsurgery, teaching, clinical research, leadership, and program development.
The selected candidate will provide general plastic surgery services with a focus on comprehensive breast reconstruction as part of multi-disciplinary teams at Cooper University Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. Additionally, the candidate will serve as a member of the teaching faculty at the Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, training residents in the Cooper Plastic Surgery Integrated Residency program and teaching medical students and rotating surgery residents.

Cooper University Hospital, the clinical campus of Cooper Medical School of Rowan University, is the leading provider of health services to Southern New Jersey. Its main hospital is located in Camden, NJ, across the river from Philadelphia, with satellite offices in Cherry Hill, Moorestown, Voorhees, and Washington Township, and a surgery center based in Voorhees.
MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper supports nearly 125,000 patient visits annually, treating all types of oncologic diseases. It is one of the leading cancer centers in the region, with over 400 clinicians, nurses, therapists, and technicians providing clinical excellence and compassionate care in a state-of-the-art facility.
The Division of Plastic Surgery at Cooper University Hospital is an expanding program with six surgeons working in a team-based atmosphere. This position offers an outstanding opportunity for an experienced plastic surgeon to lead, establish, and grow an academic practice and be part of a strong and expanding residency program.
Academic appointment and compensation will be commensurate with training and experience.
