About The Job

The Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a full-time American Board of Plastic Surgery certified/eligible surgeon at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank on either an academic or clinician track, depending on qualifications and interest. The successful candidate must have completed a Gender Affirmation Surgery Fellowship, possess demonstrable expertise/interest in caring for patients requiring body, genital, and facial gender affirmation surgery, and demonstrate the interest and ability to foster clinical and research collaborations within our Center for Sexual Health and other disciplines involved in treating gender dysphoria. Responsibilities include performing gender affirmation surgeries, participating in plastic surgery call, and treating general plastic surgery patients. The candidate must be willing to work at off-site facilities in addition to the main University Hospital and must be eligible for licensure in Minnesota and work in the U.S.

Qualifications
  • American Board of Plastic Surgery certified/eligible
  • Completion of a Gender Affirmation Surgery Fellowship
  • Expertise/interest in gender affirmation surgery (body, genital, facial)
  • Ability to develop clinical and research collaborations in related disciplines
  • Licensed or eligible for Minnesota Medical Practice Licensure
  • Able to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota
  • Meet credentialing and privileges criteria
  • Legal ability to work in the U.S. (visa status)
