Job summary

Wellstar Health System's Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery seeks an APP or PA to provide patient-centered care in ambulatory and inpatient settings. Responsibilities include clinic management, first assist in the OR, and postoperative care under physician supervision.

Candidates must have NP or PA credentials, BLS, and GA credentialing; prior experience in plastics or ambulatory surgery is a plus. Credentialing must be completed prior to start.

Qualifications

• Masters of Nursing and ANCC certification for NP path.
• PA credentialing and licensure per GA Board requirements.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Practice as a stand-alone provider managing weekly clinic.
• Examine patients and make diagnoses to determine need for surgery.
• Review medical history and plan best treatment with physician lead.
• Prepare for surgery with informed consent and scheduling coordination.
• Perform postoperative visits for select patients.
• Perform ambulatory procedures for wound care, cosmetics, and biopsies.
• First assist in the operating room.
• Support education and programs for the Plastics clinic at AU Health.
