Job summary

Dielectric Manufacturing, located in Richfield, WI, is seeking a detail-oriented Material Prep Operator to cut and prep raw plastic materials for production. You will operate saws and punch presses, inspect blanks, and maintain accurate records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a plastics manufacturing or high-mix, low-volume production environment.
• Experience operating saws, punch presses, or similar material prep equipment.
• Familiarity with machine setup, tooling changes, and basic troubleshooting.
• Know-how of material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack).
• Ability to read work orders, cut lists, and basic drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate saws (band, circular, CNC) to cut plastic stock per orders or cut lists.
• Set up and operate punch presses for blanking, punching, or notching.
• Inspect raw materials and blanks for quality, dimensions, and defects.
• Maintain records of material usage, cut lengths, and production quantities.
• Measure parts to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.
• Follow safety protocols when operating cutting and punching equipment.
• Assist in material staging, sorting, and transporting cut parts.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on saws and presses.
• Report equipment issues or material inconsistencies to supervisors.
• Support changeovers and quick setups for frequent job changes.
