Job summary

Airlite Plastics is seeking a Machine Operator to set up and run equipment, ensuring efficient production of our plastic products. You will perform routine maintenance, inspect for quality, and document results while collaborating with the shift team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Understanding of plastic materials and machine operations.
• High level of precision in monitoring machine performance and inspecting products for defects.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate issues to supervisors and teammates.
• Self-motivated, positive, flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machines, following SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs.
• Read and interpret diagrams and other work instructions.
• Maintain production and quality logs and document product quality.
• Communicate with Quality and Shift Manager regarding questionable products and adjustments.
• Monitor cycle times to required standards and work to reduce waste.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and equipment.
• Report food safety concerns to management.
