Job description

SUMMARY:

The Multi-Shot Supervisor Technician works in a team environment to coordinate the processing of materials and manufacturing of products. This individual directs production team members to develop an effective and efficient workforce. They set and process injection molds in molding machines according to scheduling priorities. This role is vital for achieving scrap reduction, on-time deliveries, high-quality products, and machine efficiencies. The Multi-Shot Supervisor Technician reports directly to the Production Manager.

Compensation: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organize and allocate team members based on production demands.
  • Coordinate and oversee training of team members.
  • Ensure conformity to production requirements, including stopping production to correct quality issues when necessary.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workplace in compliance with Vandor regulations and applicable laws. Ensure team members work safely.
  • Inspect machines and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance and utilization.
  • Ensure team members comply with company employment guidelines as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Direct team members to adhere to policies, procedures, work instructions, and record-keeping standards.
  • Communicate with the human resources team regarding production staffing needs.
  • Maintain and change materials as needed for production.
  • Troubleshoot processes to meet quality standards during molded part production.
  • Be aware of the impact on product quality and adhere to ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 standards, as applicable.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean work areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise production team members.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Two to four years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Two years of injection molding experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write in English related to safety and job responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

REASONING ABILITY:

  • Strong problem-solving skills, including analyzing issues and implementing solutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lift, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds regularly; heavier weights may be required at times.
  • Ability to walk, stand, bend, and twist for extended periods.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Must be able to work the 2nd shift schedule.
  • Work within a fast-paced, non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
  • Environment may be loud; hearing protection may be required.
  • Personal protective equipment is required as per hazard analysis.
