Job summary

Astronics PECO is seeking a motivated Machine Operator - Plastics to operate molding machines and produce quality parts per customer specifications at our Clackamas, Oregon facility. The role supports set‑ups, quality checks, and accurate paperwork, with a day shift from Monday to Friday, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, some plastic injection molding experience, and strong mechanical aptitude with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior plastic injection molding experience or training is preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with machines are desirable.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions precisely.

Responsibilities

• Operate molding machines and ensure parts meet customer specifications.
• Assist in setup of molding equipment and machinery.
• Identify and report quality or process control issues to lead.
• Measure parts using micrometers and calipers and record counts.
• Visually inspect surfaces for defects and adjust as needed.
• Operate secondary equipment and forklifts; maintain clean work area.
