Reyes Automotive Group LLC is seeking a molded change technician for the B28 facility on the 3rd shift (Mon–Fri, 10:00pm–6:30am). The role requires setting injection molds, performing lockout/tagout as needed, and maintaining detailed change records.

Onsite role with potential overtime to meet production schedules. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in fast-paced manufacturing, and some automotive experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in fast-paced manufacturing environments; automotive experience preferred.
• Bilingual English-Spanish preferred and beneficial for team communication.

Responsibilities

• Set injection molding molds per schedule.
• Connect water, hot runner, and initial process setup with robot and machine.
• Assist engineers and techs with start-up procedures and repairs.
• Maintain mold change records daily; ensure 5S and safety compliance.
• Communicate daily issues to Pit Crew and Process Engineering.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for mold changes to support the production schedule. This position is an onsite hourly and the ideal candidate must be able to work overtime, if needed.

This position is placed on a skill progression giving the option to make up to $2.00 after completion of training.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Set injection molding molds in accordance with schedule.
• Connect water, hot runner, initial process set-up with robot and machine
• Assist Process Engineer and Process Techs with minor start-up procedures and repairs
• Able to perform color changes
• Comply with Reyes Automotive Group safety program
• Conduct 5S activity
• Conduct material changes per Production Schedule
• Maintain Pit Crew Carts for 5S and restocking
• Apply oil pads to floor where needed
• Maintain purge and mold change records, to be completed daily
• Communicate daily issues to Pit Crew GL. and/or Proc. Eng.
• Abide by and ensure the following of all set safety standards
• Complete machine Platen PM
• Any other related work deemed necessary by your manager

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED.

Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in fast paced manufacturing environments.
• Technical experience preferred. Automotive industry preferred.

• Beginner in MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and in the use of e-mail, web browser applications.

Physical Requirements

• 100% will be spent on the production floor completing work related to the position.
