Job summary

Amcor LLC in Fairfield, CA is seeking an injection molding operator for a 12-hour day shift to safely operate multiple injection systems and ensure preform quality and machine efficiency. The role involves supporting the production team with technical needs, maintaining equipment and documenting production data.

The position requires basic machine operation knowledge, ability to read and enter data, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic machine operation knowledge including profile knowledge of injection machines and dryers.
• Ability to read, write and understand English.
• Ability to recognize and understand numbers and enter data into an online database accurately.
• Proficient hand/eye coordination to operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standard production objectives through proper machine operation and accurately records production.
• Communicates production information at shift change.
• Knows and practices safe and proper start-up and shut-down procedures for each machine.
• Visually inspect preforms.
• Adjust production profile to obtain best quality.
• Collect daily AA samples as scheduled.
• Confirm regrind usage and percentage.
• Stop machines to communicate problems to supervisor or maintenance.
