Job summary

Exactec is seeking a Plastic Fabricator to join our Chaska, MN shop on a full-time, first-shift schedule (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM). You will cut, bend, machine, glue, and assemble acrylic and other plastics to build custom retail displays.

The ideal candidate has hands-on fabrication experience, reads blueprints, and is comfortable using shop equipment like table saws, routers, edgers, and heat benders. Overtime is available and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in fabrication, manufacturing, woodworking, cabinetry, plastics, or related hands-on work.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials safely.

Responsibilities

• Cut, shape, drill, bend, route, and finish acrylic and other plastic materials.
• Assemble custom retail displays using bonding techniques.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and production specifications.
• Operate fabrication equipment including table saws, routers, edgers, jointers, heat benders, and other shop machinery.
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality, fit, finish, and dimensional accuracy.
• Kit, package, and prepare completed products for shipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting production and fabrication issues.
• Support team members and help meet production schedules.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
