Job description

Plastic Case Production Operator - Winder - 2nd Shift

This position reports to the Production Supervisor.

Role and Responsibilities

• Assemble machinery, fabricated metal products, electrical equipment, appliances, and more according to instructions.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or similar documents, and build accordingly.
• Operate various machines and hand tools to complete tasks.
• Maintain logs, records, and reports related to production, machine maintenance, and product quality.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment and conveyors.
• Inventory tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate with materials handlers as needed.
• Conduct quality checks on products to ensure standards are met; address issues and notify supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of tools such as tape measures, screwdrivers, and battery-powered tools.
• Understanding of hardware components like nuts, bolts, and screws.
• Knowledge of 5S methodology.
• Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) properly.
• Ability to interpret engineering specifications, diagrams, and assembly drawings.
• Ability to operate cranes or lifting devices if necessary.
• Proficiency with hand tools and safe ladder use.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Legal authorization to work in the US.
