Qualifications

• Dexterity and speed required for plastering and fireproofing tasks.
• Ability to read and understand structural drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to direct workers and maintain safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Apply coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions as per drawings using hand tools and portable power tools.
• Spread plaster with a trowel and smooth with a float to uniform thickness.
• Apply scratch, brown, or finish coats to various bases and textures.
• Create decorative textures on finish coat and possibly spray plaster when required.
• Report to lead man or foreman.
• Masking and cleaning finishes; erect/dismantle scaffolding for fireproofing tasks.
• Set up necessary equipment and read structural drawings.
