Job summary

Anning-Johnson Co. is seeking skilled plasterers to apply coats on interior walls, ceilings, and partitions according to blueprints and oral instructions. You will mix plaster, set scaffolds, and smooth surfaces to ensure uniform thickness and decorative finishes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to apply plaster coats to interior walls and ceilings per blueprints or instructions.
• Must be able to mix plaster and set up scaffolds as directed.
• Ability to smooth and texture plaster and finish coats as required.
• Physical ability to climb, lift up to 100 pounds, and work on scaffolds or ladders.

Responsibilities

• Apply coats of plaster to interior walls, ceilings, and partitions according to drawings, using hand tools and power tools.
• Spread plaster over lath or masonry base and smooth with a trowel/float to uniform thickness.
• Apply scratch, brown, or finish coats to wood, metal, or board lath; roughen undercoat for bonding.
• Create decorative textures in finish coat using brush, trowel, or splatter techniques.
• May mix mortar and install guide wires to indicate plaster thickness.
• May install precast ornamental plaster pieces; may be designated Ornamental-Plaster Sticker.
• May specialize in finish, rough, or spray-coat plastering.
