Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• For foreign medical graduates: licensed as a physician or state EMT certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis under general supervision.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments per licensure.
• Interview donors and review medical history to determine plasma donation suitability.
• Collaborate with Center Medical Director to address donor suitability questions.
• Review test results and assess donor symptoms affecting continued donation.
• Counsel donors on reactive test results and refer for follow-up.
• Provide routine care per SOPs and escalate critical cases to physicians or local providers.
