Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, greet donors, and focus on donor safety and team well‑being.
• Screen new and repeat donors; take and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System to prepare charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using approved procedures.
• Provide support for donors, which includes working a variety of shifts—including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs.; occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of tasks require prolonged glove wear.
• One or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient‑facing role is helpful.

Compensation & Benefits Summary

Starting hourly wage: $16.00 (actual wage will meet local minimum wage requirements). Employees may be eligible for medical, dental, vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with company match, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid volunteer time, company holidays, well‑being benefits, up to 80 hours of sick time, and up to 120 hours of paid vacation.
