Job summary

CSL Vifor is seeking a qualified medical professional to evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures and provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff. You will interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine eligibility for plasma donation, and collaborate with the Center Medical Director on questions related to donor suitability.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical school or naturopathic medical training program.
• If graduation is from a foreign medical school, must be licensed as a physician or EMT in a reciprocal state.
• Minimum of one year of relevant healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate donor suitability for automated pheresis procedures.
• Provide limited emergency medical care to donors and staff including administering medication or treatments as permitted by licensure.
• Interview donors and perform medical history reviews to determine suitability to donate plasma.
• Collaborate with the Center Medical Director to address donor medical questions and guidance.
• Review test results and determine continued donor suitability; assess donor symptoms affecting donation ability.
• Notify and counsel donors regarding reactive test results and refer to community facilities for follow-up.
