Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including a recognized nursing program.
• Licensed or certified in the state of assignment (EMT-B/A/I/P, LPN/LVN, RN).
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Meet state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, consent, medical history, and physical exam requirements.
• Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results.
• Evaluate donor reactions and follow SOPs for medical emergencies.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unclear findings.
• Support employee vaccination programs and occupational health guidance.
