Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Del City, OK is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under supervision.

You will work with the Center Manager and Center Physician, following FDA training and SOPs, and support vaccination programs for staff while ensuring donor safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• EMT-Intermediate license required.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA-approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of clinical or hospital experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including consent, screening and testing.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for medical or technical guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and influenza vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with occupational health/ER input and EHS guidance.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
