Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-2 years of office or customer service experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and 10-key.
• Valid driver's license and insurability by AP&T.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for training or meetings.
• Ability to professionally represent AP&T and promote our services at community events and outreach activities.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. May be subject to random testing without notice.
• Resilience to Alaska's rugged weather and remote conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform power-related tasks and daily plant monitoring.
• Take meter readings and monitor fuel dips.
• Change engine oil as needed and record data.
• Assist outages and provide local support to power engineering and operations.
• Support technicians traveling into the community.
• Handle telecom-related tasks as applicable.
• Test dial-tone at NID and assist with calling issues.
• Collaborate with telecom engineering to resolve outages in the central office or cabinets.
