Job summary

Alpine Silica is seeking a Plant Utility to help keep our production area safe, clean, and running smoothly. The role involves operating and servicing small equipment, performing pre-operation checks, and adhering to all safety policies on a daily basis.

You will participate in safety meetings, assist with general site housekeeping, and work as part of a team to support plant operations in Texas. A High School Diploma or GED and the ability to read, write, and speak English are required.

Qualifications

Job description

The Plant Utility position is responsible for day-to-day duties needed to complete work in a safe and timely fashion and maintain a clean work site. This position must also adhere to our safety program and work as a contributing member of the team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed

• Be cognizant of and adhere to safety requirements

• Participate in all safety meetings

• Shoveling, sweeping, and monitoring

• Must be familiar with operating and servicing small equipment

• Must understand or have familiarity with all power and small tools

• Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment

• Clean, lubricate and fuel all equipment and general site housekeeping

• Ensure safety fences, markings, berms are all in place

• Notify supervisor and/or maintenance of any required work to be done

• Performs other related duties as required

Other Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Able to read, speak and write English

• Able to work under stressful conditions at times

• Work performed in a plant environment

• Exposure to inclement weather as most work will be performed outside

• Regularly required to lift, carry, push, and pull 50 lbs. or more
