Job summary

The NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities is seeking a Plant Utilities Assistant in Town of Tupper Lake. This role includes assisting in the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, boilers, and responding to incidents affecting environmental safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of heating, HVAC, ventilation, and refrigeration apprenticeship program.
• One year of hands-on experience in HVAC systems or boilers maintenance.
• Possession of a Merchant Mariner’s Document and qualification as a member of the engine department.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operation of steam and hot water boilers.
• Conduct boiler, HVAC, and water systems testing.
• Respond to environmental incidents and safety concerns.
