Qualifications

• Graduate of a heating, HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning, or refrigeration apprenticeship program.
• Possession of a High‑Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer License or Stationary Engineer License.
• Completion of a New York State Department of Labor registered apprenticeship program.

Responsibilities

• Operate steam and hot water boilers, including lighting off and shutting down systems.
• Conduct boiler, HVAC, and water system testing, analyze results, and add chemicals.
• Respond to environmental or safety incidents and be prepared for evacuation.
