Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing operations functions, preventive and corrective maintenance as applicable to the job function to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment, under the direction of site management. The role involves maintaining equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet, promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation. Pay ranges from $45 to $48 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in primary skill required for the position.
• Maintain equipment at the plant.
• Perform troubleshooting, documentation, and assist in resolution of problems discovered on shift.
• Conduct daily maintenance, overhauls, calibration, troubleshooting, repair/replacement, and removal/installation of plant equipment and systems.
• Make decisions and recommend appropriate repair techniques for plant equipment to peers, supervisors, and plant management.
• Conduct excitation system inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Operate material handling equipment.
• Develop and implement plant operating procedures.
• Understand the relationship of equipment to plant systems.
• Provide instruction and teaching to lower level employees, as needed.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, and environmental procedures, including Lockout Tagout, Job Safety Analysis, Confined Space, Hot Work, Electrical Safety, and PPE.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of related experience.
• Minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work a 12‑hour rotating shift.
• Applicable state licenses as required (MA, OH).
• Computer‑based skills and effective oral and verbal communication skills.
• Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.
• Successful completion of the Plant Operator Selection System/Power Plant Operations and Maintenance (POSS / MASS) program, with exams administered as needed.

Compensation and Work Schedule

Hourly pay of $45 to $48, depending on experience.

Work: 12‑hour rotating shift.
