Job summary

Luminant Power LLC operates a Gas Plant in Oswego, NY and seeks an experienced Plant Operator to ensure safe, reliable operation and maintenance of plant equipment. The role emphasizes logging, monitoring, and adherence to procedures and safety practices.

Responsibilities include performing rounds, managing readings, and assisting with SOP development, training, and plant inspections. 4–6 years of related experience and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• 4 -6 years related experience.
• Minimum of High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift required.
• Demonstrate computer-based skills.
• Demonstrate effective oral & verbal communications skills.
• Independent knowledge of troubleshooting.

• Unload, handle and transfer bulk chemicals and takes samples for analysis and testing
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for performing operations functions, preventive and corrective maintenance as applicable to job function to ensure proper functioning of plant equipment will work under the direction of site management. This position is responsible for the proper function and maintenance of equipment at a Gas Plant for the Gas fleet. Responsible for promoting safe, effective, and reliable operation. This role will pay between $45 to $48 per hour depending upon experience.
