Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC. is seeking a Plant Takeoff Specialist to collaborate with Project Managers, engineers, and contractors on Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants. The role is fully remote and nationwide within the United States.

Responsibilities include detailed material takeoffs, reviewing schedules and specifications, and communicating with project teams to ensure accurate, complete scope documentation. Strong MS Office skills and waterworks material knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience performing material takeoffs for Waterworks materials
  • Knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings, and misc materials in waterworks: DIP, Steel, Stainless, HDPE, PVC, process valves
  • Strong knowledge of construction documents: plans, details, P&ID, specs, bid forms
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Planswift Estimating and Sage Estimating experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Review project schedule and required work with project team
  • Analyze specifications and drawings to identify takeoff scope and issues
  • Schedule meetings with project managers and sales to review scope
  • Issue RFIs to resolve plan discrepancies
  • Perform detailed material takeoffs and mark plans accurately
  • Enter data with specifications, phase, system, location, and notes
  • Review addenda daily and adjust scope as needed
  • Ensure accuracy before releasing takeoff to Project Manager

You will build a career that you are proud of, at a company you can believe in.Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Plant Takeoff Specialist to work with project documents and partner with Project Managers, engineers, and contractors for Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants in order to be able to generate a very detailed scope of materials specific to the requirements for each project.This role is fully remote and can be based anywhere in the United States.ResponsibilitiesReview schedule for work required and associated timelineAnalyze specifications, plans, and details and identify issuesSet up meetings with Project managers and Plant sales associates for review of overall project prior to starting takeoffSend RFI to engineers as needed to resolve issuesPerform detailed material takeoffMark plans accordingly checking and highlighting items taken offEnter specification, phase, system, location, and notes as required for each itemNote any specific qualifications or alternatives to plans or specificationsComplete takeoff and review project data for accuracy before releasing to Project ManagerReview project addenda daily and update scope of materials as requiredQualifications5+ years of experience performing material takeoffs for Waterworks materialsAbility to demonstrate a working knowledge of pipe, valves, fittings, and misc materials associated with the waterworks industry. Specifically DIP, Steel, Stainless, HDPE, PVC, and Process ValvesDemonstrated knowledge of construction documents – Plans, Detail drawings, P&ID Drawings, Specifications, Bid forms and front end documents, project management, and construction administrationDetailed and be able to maintain a high level of accuracyStrongly organized and with the ability to handle multiple projectsAbility to handle electronic file management on data serverAbility to learn new technological advances within our industry and operationProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word & ExcelEffective communication, interpersonal, and presentation skillsKnowledge of Sage Estimating is a plusKnowledge of Planswift Estimating software is a plusDesign-Build experience is a plusAt Ferguson, we care for each other. The estimated pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on a candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.-$3,600.00 - $7,791.30-Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.-This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.-Ferguson complies with all wage regulations.
