San Ysidro Health in San Diego, CA seeks a Plant Support Technician to assist in managing the Plant Support Department with emphasis on landscaping, construction, and building maintenance. The role requires hands-on carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and irrigation system upkeep across multiple sites.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, plus training from Associated Technical College, and 3+ years of related experience.
Assists in the management and coordination of functions and activities of the Plant Support Department with emphasis on landscaping.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus. Good oral and written communication.
Carpentry, basic electricity, plumbing and landscaping. Advanced knowledge of various telephone systems and wiring. Knowledge of plant operations and equipment.
High power tools, hand tools, variety of materials
Will be exposed to confined space, high noise level, hazardous chemicals and materials. Heavy lifting (75 lbs). Driving between location sites.
Pre-employment requirements include I-9, physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre-employment PPDs. Compliance with all mandated vaccinations and all boosters is a term and condition of employment.
