Job summary

Standlee Premium Western Forage seeks a Plant Supervisor I for swing shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM) to oversee manufacturing of forage products. You will direct production activities, ensure safety, manage staffing, and drive efficiency on a 12-hour shift.

The role requires 3–5 years in manufacturing with leadership responsibilities and a high school diploma or associate degree. On-site work with travel to adjacent locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and distribution.
• Understanding of strategic planning, resource allocation and leadership in manufacturing.
• Mathematical knowledge including arithmetic, algebra and statistics.
• Knowledge of curriculum design, training and evaluating staff.
• Knowledge of machines, tools, maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate facility and equipment maintenance or modification.
• Develop production tracking and quality control systems to detect issues.
• Assist Plant Manager with budgets and expenditures for resources.
• Direct and coordinate production, processing, distribution, and marketing activities.
• Train and manage staff; address unsafe behaviors with the Plant Manager.
• Implement employee involvement programs; maintain quality specifications and SOPs.
• Prepare production work orders and reports; monitor inventory and schedules.
• Collaborate with maintenance to resolve production or processing problems.
• Ensure finished products meet quality standards across testing samples.
• Coordinate transfer of finished goods with Distribution Center.
