Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a hands-on 1st Shift Plant Supervisor to lead operations at our Stow, OH facility. You will oversee production and dock activities, emphasize safety, and drive continuous improvement through a frontline team.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of leadership in plant or manufacturing settings, strong mechanical aptitude, and proven ability to enforce standards and improve processes. Weekend availability may be required in this role.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of plant, warehouse, manufacturing, or operations leadership experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving skills.
• Experience in a process‑driven environment with clear standards and documentation.
• Familiarity with OSHA and regulatory compliance standards and ability to enforce them.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flex hours as needed.
• Physically able to lift up to 55 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs; extended standing and occasional confined space work.

Responsibilities

• Lead 1st shift plant operations across production and dock to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets.
• Champion safety through daily floor walkthroughs, PPE and hazard control, incident and near‑miss reporting, and weekly safety talks.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards (permits, environmental requirements, ISO/AQIS/DOT tasks, audits).
• Uphold quality standards and sanitation requirements across processes and equipment.
• Plan daily capacity, labor coverage, and workflow; manage inventory and stock control.
• Coach, train, and develop team members; support performance reviews and build a cross‑trained, reliable shift.
• Support preventive maintenance and equipment uptime in partnership with maintenance and site leadership.
• Monitor KPIs and escalate service‑impacting issues with sales, service, and logistics.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead 1st shift plant operations across production and dock to meet safety, quality, and throughput targets

• Ability to work weekends, holidays, or flex hours as needed
• Physically able to lift up to 55 lbs and push/pull carts up to 300 lbs; extended standing and occasional confined space work required
