Job summary

Titan America in Tampa, FL is hiring a Plant Supervisor for the Ready-Mix concrete plant on Anderson Rd. This salaried non-exempt role oversees daily operations, maintenance, production, inventory, safety, environmental compliance, and supervision of plant staff.

You will report to the Operations Supervisor and ensure quality and on-time deliveries. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, at least five years in Ready Mix Concrete with management experience, strong math and computer

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• At least 5 years in Ready Mix Concrete, with management experience preferred.
• Excellent math and computer skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Must obtain ACI Level I Field Testing Technician and FDOT Concrete Batch Plant Operator Certifications within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet or exceed quality and service expectations.
• Maintain adequate inventories to meet customer needs.
• Maintain a safe workplace per OSHA guidelines.
• Schedule material deliveries based on Dispatch input.
• Ensure deliveries are prompt, safe, and efficient.
• Ensure compliance with environmental standards.
• Keep the plant in excellent mechanical and esthetic condition.
• Prepare and verify daily paperwork; handle cash sales when required.
• Ensure employees work efficiently and in accordance with policies.
• Maintain good relationships with coworkers and external agencies.
• Manage disciplinary procedures for drivers and plant operators.

Overview

Titan America’s Florida Business Unit has an excellent opportunity for a Plant Supervisor at its Ready-Mix Concrete Plant location in Anderson Rd Tampa, FL. This salaried non-exempt position (eligible for overtime) will report directly to the Operations Supervisor and is responsible for the daily operation of the plant, including but not limited to operations, maintenance, production, inventory control, safety, environmental compliance, and supervision of plant employees.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all products produced meet or exceed customers’ expectations regarding quality and service.
• Ensure adequate inventories in order to meet customer needs.
• Ensure that a safe workplace is maintained, based on company policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Schedule material deliveries according to information provided by Dispatch office (according to customer needs).
• Ensure deliveries are made promptly, safely, and efficiently.
• Ensure that operation remains in compliance with all applicable environmental standards.
• Maintain plant in excellent condition, mechanically and esthetically.
• Prepare and ensure accuracy of paperwork resulting from daily business, on occasion, handle cash sales from customers in accordance with established practices and policy.
• Ensure that employees are working efficiently and consistently with company policies and guidelines.
• Maintain good working relationships with co-workers and outside agencies’ personnel.
• Manage corporately approved disciplinary procedures pertaining to drivers and operators assigned to plant.

Qualifications

Plant Supervisor Qualifications and Experience:

• High School diploma
• Prior experience in Ready Mix Concrete for at least 5 years required and prior experience in concrete plant management preferred.
• Excellent math and computer skills.
• Must have excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must have (or must be able to obtain as soon as possible) ACI Level I Field Testing Technician and FDOT Concrete Batch Plant Operator Certifications within 90 days of hire.
