Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer specializing in Siemens Plant Simulation to model and optimize product flow in a rocket motor manufacturing facility in Camden, AR. The role focuses on discrete-event simulation to represent operations, material flow, equipment, labor, and production constraints.

The ideal candidate will develop, validate, and maintain simulations, analyze results for bottlenecks and capacity, and propose actionable improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree and/or substantial experience can substitute.
• Minimum 4 years of prior relevant Industrial Engineering experience; 2 years with graduate degree.
• 1+ year of Siemens Plant Simulation experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Siemens Plant Simulation models for complex manufacturing flow.
• Build routing, resource utilization, material handling, queues, buffers, and process dependencies.
• Analyze simulation results to identify bottlenecks, capacity limits and WIP buildup.
• Recommend staffing changes, equipment reallocation, buffer sizing, sequencing improvements, and capital investments.
• Perform what-if and trade studies to support production rate changes and capacity planning.
• Validate model performance with production data and collaborate with operations and planning teams.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
