Metglas, Inc. in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Planning Manager to develop and execute the master production schedule for amorphous ribbon casting. The role links operations, procurement, and leadership to drive performance using data-driven reporting.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in production scheduling in heavy manufacturing, strong ERP expertise (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite), and Lean or APICS knowledge. ITAR/EAR compliance and a full benefits package start on day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations research, engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
• 3–5 years of production scheduling or materials management in heavy manufacturing/metallurgy.
• Deep proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, MS 365 Oracle, NetSuite) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production schedules for casting lines and maintain the Master Production Schedule for all lines.
• Sequence casting runs to optimize machine utilization and minimize setup times.
• Coordinate with maintenance to incorporate planned downtime into the schedule.
• Direct procurement on quantities, volumes, and delivery timelines for raw materials.
• Review monthly forecasts to align production with market demand and manage inventory levels.
