Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a Plant Scheduler to join the Kansas City, Missouri facility. This role serves as a key link among sales, operations, and supply chain, coordinating orders, materials, and production planning across multiple lines in a high-SKU environment.

You will interface with production, customer service, and other departments, manage roll stock and warehouse inventory, and strive to optimize scheduling while upholding PBM principles. On-call and weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using data to drive strategic decisions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to operate and manage a computer-based production scheduling system.

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling of orders for a corrugated paper machine, finishing equipment, and managing the roll stock inventory.
  • Work with customer service to plan to meet customer needs and maximize operation productivity.
  • Manage roll stock including ordering, receiving, warehousing, and consuming paper; analyze usage and trends to ensure right product mix.

Georgia-Pacific is seeking a qualified professional to join the team as aPlant Schedulersupporting theKansas City, Missourilocation. This role serves as a key link among sales, operations, and supply chain. The Plant Scheduler will support the facility’s needs , from ordering vital supplies to coordinating finished materials, while optimizing production planning in a high - SKU manufacturing environment with multiple production lines. A successful candidate will have strong communication skills , a positive approach, a desire to learn, and the ability to think outside the box!

  • Scheduling of orders for a corrugated paper machine, finishing equipment, and managing the roll stock inventory
  • Working with customer service to effectively plan to meet customer needs and efficiently maximize the productivity of the operation
  • Managing roll stock which includes ordering, receiving, warehousing, and consuming paper in addition to analyzing usage and utilization trends to ensure the right product mix is available to efficiently meet the needs of our customers
  • Interfacing and working directly with production, customer service, and various other departments within the plant operation
  • Exemplify and advance the PBM® (Principled Based Management) philosophy
  • Manage roll room and off-site warehouse roll inventory
  • Ability to work on call and weekend basis as needed
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Experience in a corrugated manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience utilizing data to drive strategic decision
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to operate and manage a computer-based production scheduling system
