Job summary

Carl Buddig and Company seeks a Sanitation associate to ensure plant cleanliness and compliance with food safety standards. You will clean production equipment, pass audits, and maintain a safe work environment in a fast-paced meat processing facility.

The role requires the ability to work nights, weekends, and overtime when needed, with a wage of $20.00 per hour. Training on safety and sanitation procedures is provided.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED desirable but not required.
• Sense of urgency with attention to accuracy and detail.
• Strong communication across all organizational levels.
• Ability to multitask with rapidly changing priorities.
• Forklift (stand-up) and walkie rider experience a plus.
• Team-oriented and productive collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Comply with GMP, HACCP, FSI, SQF, and related standards.
• Maintain plant cleanliness to pass USDA/SQF audits.
• Sanitize all surfaces nightly after production.
• Clean interior production and non-production areas.
• Operate equipment to clean floors and remove debris.
• Follow safety guidelines and use PPE; report issues.
• Maintain clean, safe work area; assist with duties as needed.
