Job summary

New Horizons Baking Company is seeking a Safety Specialist to support and strengthen workplace health and safety programs at our Columbus manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Safety Manager, you will drive safe work practices, conduct training, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Required: high school diploma or GED; OSHA/ safety knowledge; experience with safety training.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial safety programs preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to engage employees.

Responsibilities

• Implement and improve EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and conduct safety audits and hazard assessments.
• Lead safety trainings, investigate incidents, and track corrective actions.
• Maintain safety documentation and regulatory materials.
• Support LOTO, PPE, Hazard Communication, Fall Protection and related safety initiatives.
• Foster safety culture and collaborate across departments to reinforce safe practices.
