Job summary

Greenbrier is seeking a Plant Safety/Quality Coordinator to support the safety observation program, audits, and continuous improvement of safety and quality in the plant. You will interface with Safety and Quality teams, disseminate audit findings, and keep leadership informed of issues requiring action.

This role emphasizes training, compliance, and a proactive safety culture. Responsibilities include conducting safety tours, tracking corrective actions, and ensuring adherence to EMS and Hazmat

Qualifications

• Basic proficiency in AAR and FRA rules/regulations.
• Knowledge of QA principles, QA tools and quality control processes.
• Experience on safety committee or safety-related role; risk assessment and safety initiatives.
• Experience with incident/accident investigations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate plant safety observation program and report findings to Plant/Operations Manager.
• Perform plant safety audits and disseminate audit details to relevant parties.
• Conduct safety tours and report safety violations to Plant Manager.
• Provide training and guidance on safety and EMS policies.
• Assist with maintenance of SDS, Hazmat and related compliance.
