Job summary

Leprino Foods in Allendale, MI, seeks a Plant Safety Leader to direct safety and health programs for a 300-person facility. You will partner with plant leadership, Corporate Safety, and regulators to reduce risk, prevent injuries, and improve working conditions.

The role focuses on regulatory compliance (OSHA, EPA), employee involvement, training, incident investigations, and safety program development. A bachelor's in safety or related field and several years of manufacturing safety experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Management or related field.
• Five years of professional safety experience in manufacturing.
• One year of experience leading or mentoring others.
• Knowledge of OSHA and state health and safety regulations.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and health programs across plant operations.
• Develop new-hire orientation and safety training.
• Conduct inspections, hazard assessments, and corrective actions.
• Analyze safety trends and lead safety teams.
• Coordinate compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regs.
• Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance on safety programs.
• Mentor plant safety staff and report to Plant Manager.
