Schuff Steel Co. in Eloy, AZ seeks a Plant Safety Manager to lead daily health, safety, and environmental oversight in a manufacturing setting.

You will develop and manage safety programs, conduct training, audits, incident investigations, and ensure compliance with OSHA and regulations while promoting a proactive safety culture.

The role requires 7+ years in safety, a relevant degree, and strong leadership; proficiency with safety software and MS Office is expected.

Formación

• Minimum 7 years of safety experience in a manufacturing/industrial setting.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards and applicable regulations.
• Certifications (CHST/ASP/CSP) preferred but not required.
• Strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and safety management software.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on-site safety programs and initiatives with plant management and EHS staff.
• Facilitate new-hire safety orientations and ongoing refresher training.
• Coach supervisors and employees on safety policies and behaviors.
• Mentor frontline leaders to prioritize safety and act as role models.
• Develop JHAs and support daily risk assessments.
• Review and update SOPs to meet facility needs.
• Perform safety inspections and audits across the facility.
• Close out hazards with corrective actions and follow up for effectiveness.
• Encourage safety observations and toolbox talks to drive improvement.
• Track safety KPIs and provide improvement recommendations.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and corporate safety leadership on audits and compliance.
• Lead and/or support incident investigations and root cause analyses.
