West Fraser, based in the United States, seeks an engineer to improve plant uptime and machinery efficiency while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence across the site.

You will investigate failures, work with maintenance teams, develop maintenance routes, implement lubrication best practices, analyze data, and train staff to raise reliability, with emphasis on collaboration and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or strong combination of experience and education.
• Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment or trades is a plus.
• Demonstrated quantitative analysis and ability to work with IT teams.
• Experience presenting data and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Self-directed, motivated, and a strong problem solver.

Responsabilités

• Improve uptime and efficiency of plant machinery and processes.
• Coordinate investigations of machine failures and implement reliability solutions.
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance routes.
• Apply lubrication best practices and manage lubricants.
• Analyze plant data to identify downtime reduction opportunities.
• Train maintenance staff to raise skills and reliability.
• Redesign machinery to lower costs and improve reliability.
• Utilize Maximo and other CMMS for maintenance activities.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities; manage site reliability systems.
• Apply vibration analysis, thermography and oil analysis to reliability programs.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
