Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a Reliability Leader to enhance plant uptime and drive continuous improvement across machinery and processes. You will lead and mentor technicians, champion CMMS usage, and promote world-class maintenance practices while collaborating with operations to maximize asset availability.

Qualifications

• A degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of training and experience.
• 5+ years of relevant maintenance and/or reliability experience in fixed plant.
• Minimum of 1 year of proven leadership and mentoring experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and training to Reliability Supervisors and Technicians.
• Promote the Reliability Program across Condition Monitoring, Root Cause Analysis, Preventive & Predictive Maintenance, and CMMS usage.
• Foster Asset Lifecycle Management and maximize asset availability using CMMS data and benchmarking.
• Provide regular condition reports and coordinate asset/outage planning with area leaders.
• Ensure effective use of reliability best practices and CMMS for planning, reporting, and scheduling.
• Design and implement asset management strategies including preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance plans.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors and leverage external expertise for the reliability program.
• Analyze production processes to identify improvements, reduce downtime, and increase throughput.
