Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Quality Manager - Plant Operations to lead quality assurance and continuous improvement across the manufacturing plant. You will drive ISO 9001/ASHRAE aligned programs, lead a team of quality engineers and technicians, and partner with production, engineering, and supply chain to reduce defects and lift process capability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably HVAC/refrigeration/industrial equipment production.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, ASHRAE standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven leadership experience in managing quality teams and driving strategic quality initiatives.
• Expertise in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and advanced quality methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with welding, brazing, assembly, and testing.
• Strong problem-solving skills with experience in 8D, FMEA, SPC, and DOE.
• Proficiency in quality data analysis tools (i.e. Minitab, JMP, or similar).
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the plant's quality strategy, aligning it with business goals and customer requirements.
• Manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure ISO 9001, ASHRAE standards, and other regulations.
• Oversee plant-wide quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
• Lead RCCA, corrective actions, and CIP for recurring quality issues.
• Implement SPC, FMEA, and DOE to drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering and production to enhance DFM and NPI quality.
• Lead and develop the quality team with coaching and mentorship.
• Drive supplier quality initiatives including supplier audits and corrective actions.
• Monitor KPI performance and report insights to plant leadership.
• Serve as liaison for customer quality concerns and third-party audits.
