Job summary

ZF Group in the United States seeks a Plant Quality Engineer to oversee QMS compliance and Launch Readiness, serving as the subject matter expert for QMS topics and coordinating internal and external audits. You will lead cross-functional audit preparation and drive corrective actions across teams.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or quality, 3+ years in automotive or manufacturing, and strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF16949.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing or related field.
  • 3+ years minimum experience in Quality Management Systems within Automotive industry or manufacturing industries
  • Strong Project Management and Launch Readiness Experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 requirements
  • Prior experience leading IATF certification process
  • Proficiency in quality tools including FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA, and Control Plans

Responsibilities

  • Manage QMS compliance, audits, and continuous improvement activities in alignment with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
  • Act as lead internal auditor and coordinate internal, external, process, and system audits.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in audit preparation, execution, and corrective action problem solving.
  • Manage document control, calibration support, and quality system orientation training.
  • Manage plant program/project industrialization, engineering changes, and special customer or project builds.
  • Identify, manage, and escal[ate] Operations Launch Management deliverables, checkpoints, APQP gate reviews, and milestones.
  • Lead plant core team coordination to reduce launch delays and ensure timely completion of launch deliverables.

Job description
