Job summary

Upstate Niagara Cooperative, a major dairy cooperative, seeks a Manager of Plant Quality Assurance at the Williamsport plant to oversee the total quality program and lead QA audits and CAPA processes. You will ensure compliance with FDA, GFSI, HACCP, and customer specs while guiding the QA team in absence of the Director of QA.

Responsibilities include regulatory reviews, audit leadership, and support for R&D projects, with a focus on continuous improvement in food safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food, Dairy, or Natural Sciences preferred.
• Minimum AAS degree with an equivalent education/experience considered.
• Five to seven years of related experience and/or training.
• Active involvement in Quality Programs within the Food and Beverage industry.
• Previous supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of ISO QMS, HACCP, and SPC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Quality Systems Oversight: ensure QA policy and procedures manual is current.
• Regulatory & Compliance: review validation protocols, change orders, nonconformance reports, and related documentation; support audits.
• Audit Leadership: lead third-party and SQF audits; support internal audits; manage QA team responsibilities.
• Customer & R&D Support: act as contact for customer inquiries, audits, and product validation coordination.
