Barriere Construction, a CRH Company, seeks a Plant Quality Control Lab Technician at the Baton Rouge Plant to join our talented team. The role involves testing materials for conformity, setting up lab equipment, and preparing QC reports to support quality across projects.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of construction or quality control experience and a HS diploma. Preferred: 3 years of construction material testing experience or an associate degree in construction or a related field.

Qualifications

• Preferred: 3 years of Construction Material testing experience.
• Preferred: Associate degree in construction or related major.

Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate lab equipment and instruments.
• Test samples for conformity to standards.
• Visually inspect for quality control.
• Prepare and submit QC reports.
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance to keep lab and warehouse clean and safe.
• Assess daily tasks for quality and safety concerns.
• Communicate deficiencies with the plant manager and crew to resolve.
• Participate in TAR meetings.

We are currently searching for a Plant Quality Control Lab Technician to join our Baton Rouge Plant talented team of employees!

Quality control technicians are responsible for testing materials and finished products to ensure they conform to all applicable laws and company standards

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Sets up, adjusts, and operatire lab equipment and instruments
• Tests samples of products for conformity and standards
• Visually inspects for quality control
• Prepares and submits QC reports
• Performs general houskeeping and maintenancetasks to ensure clean and safe lab and warehouse
• Experience in devising and reviewing plans, documents, and specifications.
• Assesses daily job tasks for potential quality and safety concerns
• Communicates deficiencies with the plant managerand crew and works towards a solution
• Participate in TARmeetings

Qualifications

1 year of Construction or Quality Control experience.

HS Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

3 years of Construction Material testing experience

Associate degree in construction major or related major.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in extreme conditions, such as cold, heat & humidity
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., and push or pull up to 70 lbs.
• Helps maintain clean and orderly job site.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Must observe and abide all Barriere safety regulations.
