Job summary

Furlani Foods, based in Oak Creek, Wisconsin, is seeking a Plant Project Engineer to lead local capital projects from concept through startup and to support annual capital planning. The role involves improving manufacturing operations across facilities and collaborating with master bakers and product teams.

The position requires at least 5+ years in manufacturing/engineering, experience with equipment installations, and proficiency in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, food production, engineering, or capital project management.
• Experience managing equipment installations and capital projects.
• AutoCAD or similar design software experience.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes and plant operations.
• Solid problem solving and decision‑making skills, sense of urgency, attention to detail, organization, ability to execute multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
• Coordinate equipment suppliers, contractors, plant teams, and engineering resources.
• Provide engineering support to Operations and Maintenance teams.
• Assist with troubleshooting manufacturing and utility systems.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
• Work with plant teams to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
• Travel required: specifically, but not limited to within North America and Europe.
