Job summary

LiDestri Foods in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Plant Process Engineer to optimize production equipment, boost efficiency and reduce downtime through capital projects.

You will partner with quality, maintenance, engineering and operations to evaluate equipment, implement upgrades and drive continuous improvement. A BS in engineering and 4+ years in food/bev manufacturing, plus project management and Lean Six Sigma experience, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline is required.
• 4+ years in food, beverage or high-speed packaged goods manufacturing.
• Hands-on project management delivering scope from concept to closure on time and budget.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Lean manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, CI and Engineering on capital plans.
• Provide technical support and training to operations for problem solving and improvements.
• Lead weekly project update meetings with team members.
• Stay current with technology used in manufacture of LiDestri products.
• Ensure plant packaging equipment and processes meet safety and quality standards.
• Perform root-cause analysis and corrective action calculations.
• Support operations to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Lead problem-solving teams to design and implement improvements.
