Job summary

LiDestri Foods, a family-run company in Rochester, NY, is seeking a Lead Process Engineer for high-speed manufacturing. You will manage capital projects to design and develop ingredient handling systems from batching to ready-to-package products across all sites.

Requirements include a mechanical/chemical/process engineering degree and 5+ years in manufacturing, with 3+ years in food/beverage or related industries. Strong PM, Lean Six Sigma, and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or process engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years in a manufacturing facility preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years in food & beverage, pharma or chemical industry preferred.
• Experience with 3D modeling (AutoCAD) and MS Office.
• Lean manufacturing and/or Lean Six Sigma experience is a benefit.
• PM experience delivering scope from concept to closure on-time and on-budget.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Operations, CI, Plant Management, Senior Leadership, R&D and others.
• Evaluate, design and develop ingredient handling systems from raw materials to finished products.
• Provide technical support and training to plant operations to identify problems and opportunities.
• Establish project plans using Capital Project tools.
• Lead weekly project update meetings with team members.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and quality regulations.
• Perform engineering analyses including ROI, heat transfer, and labor requirements.
• Work with vendors to drive cost-effective solutions from concept to install.
• Maintain engineering documentation (SOPs, specs, test protocols).
