Job summary

Air Liquide Large Industries seeks a Plant Engineer in Freeport, TX to provide technical support to operations, drive process improvements, and ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency of plant equipment. You will help start‑ups, optimize production and lead projects from planning to commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical) and 1–5 years of engineering experience in an industrial setting, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering required.
• 1–5 years engineering experience in an industrial plant preferred.
• Strong focus on safety, reliability and process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to operations to identify opportunities for process improvement and refurbishment projects.
• Ensure projects are executed to meet production objectives while promoting Air Liquide's safety and quality standards.
• Offer technical and process support to production units: solve operating problems, assist in start‑up and optimization, and revise procedures.
• Plan, manage and follow up on local plant projects from planning to commissioning with change management and documentation control.
• Contribute to safety and quality through risk management, audits, and preventive actions.
