Rust-Oleum is seeking a Plant Process Engineer to control manufacturing processes for polyurethane products, protective paints, and coatings, improving quality, safety, and efficiency on the production floor.

You will work with Operations, Safety, Maintenance, Controls and Leadership to troubleshoot, execute projects, and plan capital improvements, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement on first shift.

Formación

• BS in Chemical Engineering preferred; Industrial/ Electrical with hands-on mechanical & chemical experience considered.
• 2+ years of engineering job experience.
• Strong process management and both written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership in continuous improvement across production, safety, quality and lean.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and enforce safety procedures for workers operating equipment or near chemical reactions.
• Troubleshoot problems with chemical manufacturing processes.
• Evaluate equipment and processes to optimize performance and ensure safety/environmental compliance.
• Conduct research to develop new and improved chemical manufacturing processes.
• Determine effective arrangement of operations such as mixing, crushing, heating, distillation and drying.
• Monitor process performance and control variables like temperature, density, specific gravity, and pressure.
• Design and plan equipment layouts.
• Prepare production cost estimates and progress reports for management.
• Design and execute capital projects to improve processes.
