Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Plant Pathology, Molecular Biology, Genetics, or related field.
- Experience with molecular techniques in plant-microbe interactions.
- Bioinformatics analysis of genomic/transcriptomic data preferred.
- Experience designing field trials and greenhouse studies.
Responsibilities
- Research fungal and bacterial plant pathogens affecting major crops.
- Perform molecular and genetic analyses to identify resistance genes.
- Design greenhouse and field experiments to test hypotheses and evaluate germplasm.
- Use bioinformatics tools to analyze sequencing data and identify virulence factors.
- Document procedures and results in research notebooks.
- Prepare manuscripts and present at meetings.
